Abstract

The key to high productivity and high quality for injection moulding, die casting and laminating processes is an optimized surface tempering. With the aim to reduce the cycle time and total tool costs while simultaneously striving for a better quality an economic tempering of the tool components becomes an essential need. Conventionel tempering principles cannot meet these high requirements. a) The following article gives an outline of two new process chains: a) „Intelligente Werkzeugtechnik“ with its successful industrial application, mainly for injection moulding and die casting tools. New process chain for open moulds or RTM (resin transfer moulding) with the utilization of the incremental sheet forming process.
